Enjoy the screening of a documentary created for the city’s centennial in 2012 at the society’s October Speaker Night. Dave Manzo and Marty Kahn, the producers of the film “Sunnyvale Then and Now”, will be presenting their documentary and answering questions from the audience.
Through delightful storytelling, the film takes us to the very beginnings of Sunnyvale and highlights the important stages in the development of our hometown. Using vintage photographs and film coverage, plus many interviews with long-time citizens, Dave and Marty take the audience on a journey through the first century of Sunnyvale’s lifetime. With the support and assistance of SHS volunteers, they created a lasting gem of the city’s history for residents and visitors alike.
