A full house for Karen Hansen’s presentation Working Class Kids and Visionary Educators in a Multiracial School on November 18, 2024!Brandeis professor and author Karen Hansen, PhD and her classmate from Sunnyvale High School, NBC Bay Area News reporter Robert Handa filled the room with a rapt audience for their conversation about Sunnyvale’s second high school which closed after only twenty-five years. Many graduates attended the talk, and the feeling of pride in their school was palpable. The author sold and signed her new book about SHS, and attendees were slow to leave!
