Executive Team

Tiffany Harward Anderson, President

Tiffany was born and raised in Sherman Oaks, a suburb of Los Angeles, CA. She earned a B.S. in Physical Education from Brigham Young University as well as an M.S. in Educational Administration from National University.

Tiffany enjoys the international community in Sunnyvale, and has lived overseas twice: first in Leicester, England, and later as a young newlywed in Moscow, Russia. There, she managed the fitness center at the U.S. Embassy and taught physical education to the international students at the Anglo-American School of Moscow.

Tiffany and her husband moved to Sunnyvale while she was expecting her second son, in 1999. While raising her family, she pursued her teaching career, acquired a knowledge of social media, advertising & marketing with BODi fitness, and started her own business as a bookkeeper as well as a NASM personal trainer.
Tiffany's career path includes becoming the Director of Operations for the San Jose State Women's volleyball team in 2019, Volleyball Coach at the Woodside Priory High School and an Administrative Assistant at IKB Design & Construction.

Tiffany was introduced to the Heritage Park Museum by fellow volunteers Dixie Larsen and Dale Mouritsen who engaged her as a volunteer for the annual Teas which she serves in various capacities. Since then, Tiffany has volunteered in many other roles before becoming the SHSMA Board President.

Tiffany believes in building competent, knowledgeable teams of people who enjoy working together. She is grateful for the amazing docents at the museum and loves to see their joy when they present local history and the story of the Murphy family.

When she’s not coaching volleyball or volunteering, Tiffany likes to waterski, garden, and visit beautiful homes, enjoying great architecture.

Justin Wang, Vice President

Justin is a lifelong resident of Sunnyvale and a proud product of our region’s public schools. After attending De Anza College, he transferred to UCLA, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Education Studies. After graduation, Justin returned to the Bay Area to contribute to his community. He is a strong believer in our civic institutions and their ability to address the challenges that our communities face.
He discovered the museum in 2022, where he was immediately struck by the organization's effectiveness in bringing community members together. Beyond that, it was a thrilling opportunity to learn so much about the history of the city that he was born and raised in. With parents who came to work in Silicon Valley, learning about the Valley of Heart’s Delight that preceded it was priceless.
Justin previously worked at Greenbelt Alliance, where he proudly collaborated with advocates and community members to permanently preserve Coyote Valley as open space—a landmark victory for the environment. Afterwards, he served as a product manager for Meta. Currently, he works in the Office of Council Member Pamela Campos in San José. He formerly served on the Sunnyvale Sustainability Commission and is proud to serve on the board of the Sunnyvale Historical Society and Museum Association. In his spare time, Justin enjoys exploring our region’s open spaces, making ice cream, and taking long walks on the beach.

Lisa Sato, Treasurer

Born in Queens, New York, Lisa Sato grew up in Fort Lee, New Jersey, a suburb of New YorkCity.  After graduating from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, she started her accounting career in Los Angeles at Deloitte and earned a Certified Public Accountant license.

Since moving with her husband to the Bay Area in 1997, she has lived in Sunnyvale and worked at various high tech companies over a 25-year span.

Lisa was first introduced to the museum when her son and daughter (now teenagers) visited the museum on their third-grade field trips.  After retiring in 2022 as Controller at LinkedIn Corporation, she was delighted to find a volunteer opportunity at the museum supporting the previous Treasurer.  One of her first projects was to migrate the museums outdated accounting system to Quickbooks Online.  Now as the museums Treasurer, Lisa is excited about continuing to support the museum’s mission of preserving and sharing Sunnyvales heritage and its key role in Silicon Valley's history.

When she is not volunteering at the museum, Lisa enjoys playing tennis, painting, gardening, and watching her children’s tennis and volleyball games at their schools.

Rose Kausek, Board Secretary

Rose Kausek was born in San José, CA and has lived in Santa Clara Valley almost her entire life. She holds a BS in Social Services from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA, and an MBA from Santa Clara University. After she married Thomas Kausek, the couple moved to Sunnyvale in 1977. In 2004, Rose and Tom completed the Leadership Sunnyvale training course. As a result of that training, Rose joined the Sunnyvale Heritage Preservation Commission and served as a commissioner from 2004-2008.

At the same time, she started attending Sunnyvale Historical Society and Museum Association meetings, since the two organizations have much in common. Rose became a member of the association in 2004 and was president of the Board when the new museum opened in 2008.

Rose stepped into the role of SHSMA board secretary in 2023. She is involved in various aspects of museum life and enjoys helping with setting up new rotating exhibits. An avid knitter, Rose always has a knitting project going. She also enjoys attending Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

Laura Babcock, Museum Director

Laura is a long-time community leader, former Planning Commissioner and Heritage Preservation Commissioner with a life-long passion for preserving history. She served on the Orchard Heritage Interpretive Exhibit Project Advisory Board for the society and was the Project Manager during its construction. Laura also chaired and served as Project Manager and Coordinator for the successful Museum Barn Relocation Project for the City of Sunnyvale in 2003, for the construction of the museum in 2008, and the city-wide Centennial Celebration in 2012.

Laura is a 1986 graduate of Leadership Sunnyvale and serves on the Historical Society Board of Directors. She brings extensive experience in leadership, project development and project management to this team. Laura has been a resident of Sunnyvale, California since 1979.

Ambrosia Studley, Museum Manager

Ambrosia was born and spent her early years in Sebastopol, before moving to Santa Rosa. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology at Sonoma State University before receiving her master’s degree in public administration from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont.

Most of Ambrosia’s work experience has been in the non-profit sector. Her first professional job was in Morro Bay, managing a collection of group homes for adults in a behavior modification program called OPTIONS. Later, in the Bay Area, Ambrosia participated in two terms of service for Americorps, earning an education grant which she used to earn her master’s degree. By taking classes at night, Ambrosia worked during the day as a program manager for Hands On Bay Area, an organization connecting volunteers to nonprofits in the South Bay.

Sunnyvale has been Ambrosia’s home since 2006. She and her family moved here to be part of Silicon Valley and enjoy the diversity and small town feel of Sunnyvale, while still being part of a metropolitan area.

Ambrosia is a very active person and enjoys engaging with her community. She serves on the Sunnyvale Education Foundation Board as well as the Sunnyvale Democratic Club Board. Other activities she enjoys are gardening, reading, volunteering, and staying active in her children’s schools. Ambrosia also works part time at Bookasaurus (the children's department of Leigh's Favorite Books on Murphy Avenue) where she loves helping children pick out books they would enjoy reading.

Other advisory committees and chairs are established as needed.
